Introduction to the South Downs Way

Fri 30/06/2017 • 6:30pm-9:00pm

  • Location: Tourist Information Centre, The Guildhall, Winchester
  • Distance: 7-10 miles
  • Riding time: up to 2.5 hours
  • Terrain: Roads and offroad trails
  • Suitable for: Adults and older children (12+) on mountain bikes. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be confident offroad cyclists.
  • Price: Free!

Meet outside the Tourist Office in the Broadway for a mostly off-road ride, following the first part of the South Downs Way as it leaves Winchester and climbs to the spectacular views at Cheesefoot Head. The South Downs Way involves some hills and is an offroad trail so you will need a mountain bike.
We should be back in Winchester by dusk, but it’s a good idea to bring lights just in case of delays.
